UPCOMING EVENTS - HIGHLIGHTS Annual MeDUSA's AFL First years VS. Second years
Date & Time: 9/10/2011 ,2 P.M. - 5.30 P.M. Location : Deakin Uni Footy Oval
It's that time of year again when our big strapping lads get into tiny shorts
and battle for supremacy!
This year however is the start of a GIRL'S football competition as well that is
sure to be more entertaining and well lets face it probably more skilful than
the boys!
Anyone from 1st and 2nd year can play. No skills or talent required!!
There will be a bbq running, so bring your picnic rug and chairs and settle in
for a good ol' arvo of aussie footy.
Afterwards whether it be to celebrate your years win or drown your sorrows,
we'll be kicking on to a yet to be determined venue for a cheeky sunday sesh. Who
knows maybe the losers could shout the winners ;)
If you're interested please sign up on the sheets outside the common room and
remember to put your email so your team captains can contact you.
This years courageous captains are:
BOYS
1st Year = Pete Corredig (vice captain Smitty)
2nd Year = John Gallivan
GIRLS
1st Year = Tara Naige
2nd Year = Cat Schepisi
Kick off will be at 2pm starting with the girls...
Anyone from any year and non-meddies are welcome to come and support the teams.
It promises to be an afternoon full of good spirit, friendly rivalry and a
whole heap of fun!
Medusa 2nd Year Transition Evening Date and Time : Friday, October 21 at 7.30 P.M. -October 22 at 12.00 A.M. Location : The Edge, 6-8, Eastern Beach The
Transition Evening is a special event, held specifically for Second Year Meds.
Clinical tutors are invited also, along with partners, family and friends.
The main focus for the evening is for Meds to celebrate their past 2 years
together at Waurn Ponds. It is one of the last formal Medusa social events for
the year to spend with friends and colleagues, before everyone sets off across
Victoria into our Clinical years.
Tickets will be on sale soon in the Common Room, and will include:
- canapes/fingerfood
- drinks (there will be an alcoholic and non-alcoholic ticket option)
