MeDUSA, the Deakin Medical Students’ Association, is the organisation which represents all medical students at Deakin.
We strive to improve your experience at medical school in a whole range of ways by advocating for your academic, professional and social interests. We enjoy an excellent relationship with the School of Medicine and actively liaise with academic staff to help maintain a high quality academic experience for students. A wide range of forums and seminars are run throughout the year, with topics such as future medical careers and special interests such as Public Health and Surgery. The MeDUSA Social Team organises incredible events to entertain and amuse you, such as Cocktail Nights, MedCamp, the Med Ball, End of Exams parties and many more! The Community Outreach team has been successful in numerous fundraising, mentoring and wellbeing initiatives. As well as being affiliated with DUSA, MeDUSA is also a member of AMSA – the Australian Medical Students’ Association – which means that we are part of the wider body of 17,000 medical students throughout Australia.
